Kyungil University (President Jung, Hyun-tae) was selected as a general financial support university in the Ministry of Education's ���2021 Basic Competency Diagnosis��� announced on the 17th (Tue). General financial support universities refer to universities that can receive support for general finance, special purpose finance, national scholarships, and student loans.

According to the ���2021 University Basic Competency Diagnosis Results��� notified to each university after deliberation by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Educational Development Institute on the 17th, 136 general universities and 97 junior colleges nationwide were selected as general financial support universities.

The university's basic competency diagnosis consists of items such as ���development plan and performance of the university, ���educational conditions and soundness of university operation, ���class and curriculum operation, ���student support, and ���educational performance, and this was conducted by summing the diagnosis results of related quantitative and qualitative indicators.

President Jung, Hyun-tae said, "This is the result of all university members working together to innovate universities. We will continue to expand investment in educational infrastructure and develop into a university that presents the future of higher education by completing curriculum innovation centered on liberal arts."
