Kyungil University (President Chung Hyun-tae) held the "2022 Summer Global Talent Development Program Launching Ceremony" with 200 students selected for overseas programs during the summer vacation on the 20th. This global talent development program is a representative program of Kyungil University that began in 2000, and it was suspended for two years due to COVID-19 and then resumed this time. There are two types of global talent development programs: language training and theme experience. Language training is conducted at Nevada State University in the U. The theme experience will be held in 11 countries, including the U. K., the U. S., Spain, and France. Twenty-five teams will conduct overseas experiences and tours according to their selected topics. Up to 95% of the required expenses will be provided to language training participants, and expenses will also be provided for theme experiences. Lee Jae-ho, a sophomore in the Department of Photography and Image who participated in the program's launch ceremony, said, "I'm even more happy that I was selected for the program that was suspended due to COVID-19 and resumed," adding, "I'll travel to the U. K. and Europe to gain valuable experience and expand my thinking." President Chung Hyun-tae said, "Our university is implementing the KIU GNP (Global Nomad Program) to develop students' capabilities by finding their own ways for global nomadic learning. Starting with this program, we will actively support students' overseas activities including global base camp under construction in California, USA." |
