The graduation exhibition of the first graduates of the School of Comics & Animation, 'Our First Printing of the First Edition,' was held at Gyeongbuk Webtoon Campus in Gyeongju from the 24th (Thu) to the 27th (Sun).

The School of Comics & Animation, which has been recruiting new students since 2019, will produce its first graduates this year. In this exhibition, seven graduates displayed their unique works in the gallery.

Eunbin Hong (Senior in the School of Comics & Animation), who is graduating this year, is preparing to become a webtoon writer by getting a job at Daegu Webtoon Studio.

In this exhibition, the works of Hanseul Yoo (Seniot in the School of Comics & Animation) are attracting attention. Yoo got a job at WYSIWYG Studios and is participating in CG(Computer Graphics) and VFX(Visual Effect) work for popular dramas such as 'Alchemy of Soul' and 'Remarriage & Desires.'

Demand for GG and VFX technicians is expected to increase as works based on webtoons and web novels are gradually expanding in the drama and film business.

On the other hand, the School of Comics & Animation at Kyungil University is nurturing practical manpower needed in the content industry such as webtoons, published comics, 3D animation, VFX, motion graphics, and game content, based on comics and animations which are fusion-type contents. In addition, it is working hard to nurture webtoon talents in the region of Daegu by winning the Webtoon Smart Contents Talent Fostering Project hosted by Daegu and being in charge of Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency.
