Kyungil University's Soccer Department and the independent club TNT FC, often known as the 'Pro Player Development Center' and led by Kim Tae-Ryung, entered into a partnership on September 24th. TNT FC, established in 2015, is a prominent independent football club that assists players in advancing to higher leagues and currently participates in the K5 League. In fact, more than 170 players have made their way to domestic and international professional and semi-professional stages through TNT FC. The K5 League, operated by the Korea Football Association, is a unique amateur division system in South Korea and is aimed at football enthusiasts, serving as the top-tier amateur league. Currently, the K5 League consists of 13 regional divisions across the nation with a total of 84 teams for participation. Through this partnership, the KIU Soccer Department will provide students with various information and opportunities by connecting the university football league (U-League) with the top-tier amateur football league in K5. Professor Ahn Jun-Sang, the head of the Soccer Department, stated, "Through this partnership, we will strive to achieve our common goal of close communication and cooperation between the two institutions, as well as promoting young players to enter higher-level leagues.“ |
