Park Haeun, the student from the Department of Photography and Videography at KIU has been awarded the '2023 Future Writer Award' by the Park Geonhee Cultural Foundation on November 6th. Now in its 17th year, the 'Future Writer Award' aims to discover and nurture future photographers who will lead the field of photography and video among university students nationwide. Co-hosted by Canon Korea and the Park Geonhee Cultural Foundation, this program seeks to cultivate the next generation of storytellers. This year's competition attracted 328 submissions from across the country, with five finalists selected for their potential as artists. Park Haeun's winning piece, titled 'Feeling in Between,' portrays the anxieties of young adults on the cusp of transitioning from student life to society, hinting at the emotional rollercoaster associated with contemplating the future. In response to her win, Park Haeun expressed gratitude to those who supported her in this endeavor and to the Park Geonhee Cultural Foundation. She stated, "I am thankful to those who assisted me with this project and to the Park Geonhee Cultural Foundation. I will continue to produce good work steadily in the future." |
