KIU organized the '2023 Content Field University Alliance Patent Celebration Camp' at the Sky Park Hotel in Daejeon on November 10th and 11th.

The 'Content Field University Alliance Patent Celebration Camp' is a program that combines KIU's entrepreneurial capacity enhancement program, the 'Patent Celebration Camp,' with the content field. Through market research and refinement processes utilizing generative AI, the camp facilitated the filing of intellectual property rights.

This camp saw participation from students of four universities under the Content Field ICC Council (chaired by Kyungil University's Kim Hyun-woo, Director of Link 3.0 Business Unit): Kyungil University, Daejeon University, Dongseo University, and Honam University. They engaged in content education utilizing generative AI, resulting in the filing of 15 patents (including technology for automated Photoshop background alteration) and 4 design patents (including character 'Cloudy').

KIU's Patent Celebration Camp has been uncovering outstanding ideas from enrolled students and directly filing patents since 2018, with over two hundred students participating annually.

Notably, this year's intellectual property filings through the Patent Celebration Camp led to numerous students winning awards at events such as the World Women Inventors Competition, Taiwan InnoTech Expo, Seoul International Invention Fair, and G-Star Startup Contest, validating the excellence of the Patent Celebration Camp.

Kim Hyun-woo, Director of the Link 3.0 Business Unit, who oversees the camp, stated, "The Patent Celebration Camp is a platform for realizing students' ideas, and this year, it focused on the content field." He further added, "Moving forward, we will endeavor to collaborate with more universities to discover outstanding ideas in various fields."
