Our university’s soccer team played an evaluation match against Japan’s J3 League Morika team on November 20th and returned to Korea on the 21st. Kyungil University team unfortunately lost 3-1 in this warm-up match, which was played for 45 minutes in both halves. Kyungil University team showed a good performance early in the first half by creating opportunities but conceded a goal in the 18th minute of the first half. They conceded an additional goal early in the second half and were down 2-0. Lee Jung-yoon(freshman) scored a mid-range shot to start the chase, but they conceded an additional goal in the 40th minute of the second half and lost 3-1. Kwak Jun-hwong(No. 17, wing forward), captain of the soccer team, said, “It was a great opportunity to learn about Japanese soccer. It was a satisfying experience, and I would highly recommend it to my juniors.” Ahn Jun-sang, director of the Department of Football, who led the schedule in Japan, said, “ We are fortunate that our players were able to successfully complete this schedule in Japan without any injuries. We are grateful to the school for supporting such a good program. And we will continue to strive to provide players with opportunities to experience overseas leagues.”
